Work injury
I’ve started to feel pain and numbness in my right hand for a couple weeks. Occasionally, there would be intense pain long my middle finger to my arm and all the way back to the shoulder. It’s really scary. The pain would be so bad I couldn’t type at all. My friend Matt referred me to his chiropractor. She’s been treating me regularly 2 times a week, stretching out my arm and my shoulder, opening up my injured ribs and muscles. She said the injury is common among keyboard users with long time bad posture. I have to start focus on how I sit and type, take short breaks and stretches fingers and arms frequently. It’s an experience that made me realize how important it is to take care of your health. I could have been permanently injured and wouldn’t be able to type. Catching it early, treatment and a change in working habit is the key.
